'Spider-Man XXX' Set for Online Debut, Distribution

LOS ANGELES — Director Axel Braun's latest superheroe movie "Spider-Man XXX: A Porn Parody," is set to debut online at Vivid.com on July 25 and will be in stores nationwide on Aug. 3.

The movie stars Vivid Girl Capri Anderson as Mary-Jane and upcoming male talent Xander Corvus in the title Spider-Man role. Also featured is MMA fighter Dick Delaware as the villain, Electro.

As a special bonus, an original, eight-page, four-color, XXX comic book will be included with the DVD with a story that is the prequel to the movie. The comic book was illustrated by Matt*Core.  Braun said Core is an acclaimed Italian artist, revered for his work on the science fiction comic book "Nathan Never," published in Italy since 1991.

"This is by far the best superhero movie I've ever made," Braun said. "I used parts of the original movie to poke fun at it, but added original material that allowed me to represent my own version of the characters, geared toward the adult comic book market. The result is a very personal movie, with plenty of laughs, sex, and entertainment, but also with a little more depth than your average porn flick. And Xander is a better Spider-Man than Andrew Garfield, if you ask me."

The movie centers around the hero who gets caught up in a web of sexual intrigue while trying to save the city from the evil menace of Electro and The Kingpin.

Braun said the film pays close attention to detail and includes spot-on costumes, top-notch special effects and a particularly inspired casting.

The featured cast also includes starlet Brooklyn Lee as The Black Widow and Ash Hollywood as Gwen Stacy.  Rounding out the players are Sarah Shevon, Tara Lynn Foxx, Lily La Beau, Seth Dickens, Tyler Knight, Michael Vegas, Peter O'Tool, James Bartholet, and a special appearance by Rob Black as JJ Jameson. Sex addiction might have once been seen as an excuse for high profile philanderers, but the condition is about to become formally recognised as a psychiatric disorder.

The ‘addiction’, in which sufferers have relentless sexual urges that feel out of one’s control, is being discussed by experts for inclusion in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) publishes the manual, which is considered the definitive guide to what constitutes a genuine psychological disorder rather than an imaginary one.

Despite recognition by the APA, the NHS does not currently recognise sex addiction in Britain but some British psychiatrists have reported seeing up to three ‘sufferers’ a year.

While in the U.S, some American psychiatrists have claimed to treat one or two sex addicts per week.

Sex addiction became highly publicised when celebrities such as Tiger Woods and Russell Brand sought treatment for the condition.

The shamed golfer underwent a six-week intensive programme at the Pine Grove clinic in Mississippi, designed to treat sexual addiction, sexual anorexia, relationship addiction and sexual trauma.

Gambling addiction has recently been classified as a mental illness in Britain and now the health service is starting a preliminary project for sex addiction treatment.

And the recent discussion of sex addiction could spark a boom in drug companies re-packaging anti-depressants and sex-drive-suppressants, according to experts.

The Priory chain of clinics say its patients: ‘work on themselves for eight or nine hours a day in group therapy, in individual sessions with their psychiatrists and with a wide range of trained therapists.’

Earlier this month Australian psychologists reported a rise in the number of patients being referred to them seeking treatment for the condition too.

Clinical psychologist and sex therapist Dr. Janet Hall in Melbourne said patients with sex addiction problems now make up the majority of her clients.

She says celebrity treatment has contributed to the rise and said: ‘It’s saying ‘if the famous and wealthy are addicts and get into trouble, I am not alone nor am I a horrible nasty person.'

The red swimsuit that helped make "Charlie's Angels" actress Farrah Fawcett a 1970s icon became part of the Smithsonian's collection Wednesday on what would have been her 64th birthday. Fawcett's longtime companion Ryan O'Neal presented the swimsuit and other items to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in Washington. O'Neal said Fawcett, who died in 2009 after battling anal cancer for several years, always intended to give the suit to the museum. "They asked her years ago for the bathing suit," he said. "So it was always in her plan." Fawcett wore the bathing suit for a photo shoot shortly before her debut on Charlie's Angels in 1976. The resulting poster sold millions of copies and became the best selling poster of all time, according to Smithsonian curator Dwight Bowers. Bowers compared the poster to World War II pinups of Betty Grable and Rita Hayworth, saying it became a symbol of the 1970s era. Though fans know the bathing suit as red, it is actually a burnt orange color, possibly due to fading. Before it was donated to the museum, Fawcett framed it herself, and it was stored at a Los Angeles warehouse, O'Neal said. Nels Van Patten, Fawcett's friend and tennis coach who was with her during the bathing suit shoot, said Wednesday she did her own hair and makeup for the pictures and didn't have a mirror. She also squeezed a lemon in her hair to get natural highlights, he said. Also donated to the Smithsonian were Fawcett's book of scripts for the first season of "Charlie's Angels," a 1977 Farrah Fawcett doll and a "Farrah's Glamour Center" styling kit for creating her signature hairdo. The items will be part of the museum's popular culture history collection and will go on display this summer. Fawcett's friends and family at the museum Wednesday for the donation included Fawcett's son with O'Neal, Redmond O'Neal, and O'Neal's daughter, Tatum O'Neal. O'Neal, who became choked up during the ceremony, said later he feels Fawcett's presence every day. "I'm still having trouble with losing her," he said.
